All eight of Georgia’s State Park Golf Courses are surrounded by sparkling lakes and thick forests, not subdivisions. That means no distractions (and no excuses). The relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere is welcoming to golfers of all skill levels and all ages. And rounds as low as $25 for 18 holes (weekdays) guarantee that everyone seeking a great golf experience can afford it here.

No wonder Golf Digest just named one of our courses the 4th sweetest deal in golf. It was the sixth time one of our courses was recognized! So whether you’re a local or a visitor on one of our great stay and play packages, you’ll find Georgia State Park Golf Courses are always your best shot.

Ironwood Golf Course, Public, 229-535-3014

The 18-hole “Ironwood” course at the Ironwood Golf Club facility in Cordele. Ironwood golf course opened in 2003.

Ironwood Golf Club sits so near Interstate Highway 75, in Cordele, Georgia, that golfers who travel thru the South should program it into their GPS’s and make it a regular stop. The course has 5 sets of tees, and is 7015 yards long from the tips, so players of any level can get all the challenge needed to get the blood pumping.

Along with the challenge, you can expect a healthy dose of enjoyment, too. For what is essentially a flat property, designer Ray Jensen put together a beautiful course. There is plenty of water around the course, and some lovely planted areas, but trees are minimal and there are no elevation changes to speak of, so it’s an excellent walking course.

Lake Blackshear Resort & Golf Club, Resort, 800.549.1230

Guests will find a variety of activities to suit every taste: golfing, hiking, fishing, dining and swimming. The natural surroundings put every guest at ease and in the mood to be creative and productive.

Picturesque Tree lined Bermuda fairways and average size Tif-Dwarf greens are features we proudly boast. Being opened since 1995, the course was designed by Ray Jensen, where water hazards come into   play on three holes. The course rating is 72 and it has a slope rating of 133.
