Designed by J.D. McDuffy, the Lakeview golf course  opened in 1971.The 18-hole “Lakeview” course  features 6,573 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . The course rating is 70.9 and it has a slope rating of 121.  Joey Lee manages the course as the General Manager. It’s a parkland style of golf course routed through fairways lined with pine trees, fairly level. Consisting of a variety of slopes, the course has multiple tiers and some excellent undulation for advanced players.

Okefenokee Country Club, Private, 912-285-7235

Okefenokee Country Club is a private golf and social club that lies along the banks of the winding Satilla River. We are centrally located between Blackshear and Waycross in the Swamp Country of South Georgia surrounded by a beautiful upscale community. The 18-hole Championship Golf Course was built in 1977 by Joseph L. Lee. It is laid on natural southern Georgia terrain back dropped by ancient oaks, towering pines,  and Spanish moss hanging from the gnarled old oaks. The golf course is a demanding yet fair test of golfing prowess. There are four sets of tees to allow golfers of all skill levels to enjoy their round. The course has over 80 strategically placed bunkers, so plan your shots carefully. There are also a number of small ponds that can come into play for those willing to challenge the course.

The facilities are available for hosting special member events, weddings, receptions and private as well as group functions. We have an Olympic size swimming pool, tennis courts, and a fenced in playground for the kids.
